A few months ago, the film 'Wiren' premiered: a film that aims to raise awareness about the obstacles that deaf Surinamese people encounter in their daily lives. The film is based on the life of Wiren Meghoe, a young - deaf - Surinamese who has completed Kennedy school and would like to study ICT. There are no options for him in Suriname; that's why he wants to go to the Netherlands. Wiren has already been accepted as a student at the Kentalis Guyot School for VSO in the Netherlands - specialized in education for deaf and hard-of-hearing students - where he can follow a six-month program. RPBG believes that today's youth is tomorrow's future! That is why we also help Wiren to make his dreams come true by contributing to his cause.
